The values of f (-2), f (-0.5), and f (3) can be solved by substituting the values inside the parentheses to the function to the variable x. We do as follows:

    1. f (x) = - x+4

    f (-2) = - x+4 = 2+4 = 6

    f (-0.5) = - x+4 = 0.5 + 4 = 4.5

    f (3) = - x+4 = - 3+4 = 1

    2. f (x) = 3/8x-3

    f (-2) = 3/8x-3 = - 15/4

    f (-0.5) = 3/8x-3 = - 51/16

    f (3) = 3/8x-3 = - 15/8

    Hope these answers the question.
