1) Distribute
3*4x+3*3
2) Simplify 3*4x to 12x
12x+3*3
3) Simplify 3*3 to 9
12x+9
Answer = 12x + 9

You have to take the 3 and multiply what ever is in the parenthasis so 3*4 is 12 but you cant mutliply x so its 12x and them 3*3 is 9 so your answer would be 12x+9
