A tree that is 18 meters tall casts a shadow that is 6 meters long. at the same time, another tree casts a shadow that is 9 meters long. how tall is the second tree?

    Height ... shadow

    18 m ... 6m

    x ... 9m

    by cross multiplication

    x = 9*18/6

    x = 27

    Therefore the height of the second tree is 27 meters
