A kite has side lengths of 2 feet and 4 feet. Each side length is increased by the same number of feet. The expression represents the perimeter of the larger kite:

    You can ignore the parenthesis so you have

    x + 2 + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 4 (combine like terms) 4x+12 (factor out the 4) 4 (x+3) (This is your answer)
