When you get to higher levels they don't really have you divide by numbers, but multiply by decimals. If you multiply a number by a decimal, it will decrease. So to answer your question: No, multiplication doesn't always make the number bigger.

160 multiplied by 0 equals 0, so no the numbers do not always get bigger
