The correct answer is 7/10. Absolute value is a way to measure the magnitude of a number, whether the number is negative or positive. Because magnitude cannot be negative, the result will always be positive. Because the number is already positive (and will always be positive, as there are no variables to change that), the absolute value signs can be dropped.
