A train traveling at a constant speed takes a passenger from Deer Lake to Liberty, stopping first at Summerville and next at Cypress before arring at Liberty. It takes three times as long to go from Deer Lake to Summerville as it does to go from Summerville to Cypress. It takes twice as long to go from Cypress to Liberty as it does to go from Summerville to Cypress. How far is the ride from Deer Lake to Cypress if the entire trip is 360 miles? Name a geometric postulate or theorem used to find the solution.

    Deer Lake - Summerville - Cypress - Liberty

    Deer Lake to Summerville is 3

    Summerville to Cypress is 1

    Cypress to Liberty is 2

    So if the entire trip is 360 miles, then you will take 3+1+2=6.

    So from Deer Lake to Cypress, it would be 3+1=4.

    So 4/6.

    360:6=60

    Therefore 60*4=

    240 Miles from Deer Lake to Cypress!
