Write and solve a real world problem that can be represented by the expression (-3) (5) + 10

I have rows of cookies, with 5 cookies in each row. i have to give 3 rows away, but after i do that then my friend gives me 10 cookies from their bag, what is the change in the total number of cookies i have.

this gets you the - 3 (5) and then + 10 which - 3 (5) + 10 = - 5

I lost 5 cookies
