Compare 3/4 and 3/6 without using fraction strips or a number line, how can you tell which fraction is greater?

    The greater fraction would be 3/4 ... if the numerator is the same, go by the denominator. The first fraction has 4 in the denominator ... the smaller number in the two denominators is the greater fraction.

    3/4=0.75

    3/6=0.5
