    2/3 (1/2x + 12) = 1/2 (1/3x + 14) - 3 =

    1/3x + 8 = (1/6x + 7) - 3 =

    1/3x + 8 = 1/6x + 4 =

    -1/6x - 1/6x

    1/6x + 8 = 4

    - 8 - 8

    (1/6x) / (1/6x) = 4 / (1/6x)

    x = - 24
