    Subtract 49 by its negative so now

    x^2-16x=-49

    then move - 16 so

    x^2=-49+16x

    then add - 49 and 16 so then you get

    X^2+your answer)

    then find the square root because this was in exponential form so find the square root of x^2 and of your answer so

    X = Your answer

    do the work
