    X^2 - 16x + 64 =

    (x - 8) (x - 8) =

    (x - 8) ^2

    * * see ur x term (-16x) ... u take half of ur x term, which would be - 8, then square it ... (-8) ^2 = 64 ... then add that to both sides. Then factor it.
