Chris can be paid in one of two ways. plan a is a salary of $450 per month, plus a commission of 8% of sales. Plan B is a salary of $760 per month, plus a commission of 3% of sales. For what amount of cells is Chris better off selecting plan A?

    450+.08x=760+.03x

    450+.08x-.03x=760+.03x-.03x

    450+.05x=760

    450-450+.05x=760-450

    .05x=310

    .05x/.05=310/.05

    x=6200

    so for 6200 in sales either plan is the same

    so for any amount of sales more than 6200 you are better off picking Plan A.
