When answering this question, I'm assuming that we have to find the average of the speed of the cars:

    Car 1: 183/3 = 61

    Car 2: 236/4 = 59

    Car 3: 290/5 = 58

    Car 4: 342/6 = 57

Because the speed limit is 60 mph, we can safely say that Car 1 had driven faster than the speed limit.
