A blue rope is three times as long as the red rope. A green rope is 5 times as long as the blue rope if the total length of the three ropes is 508.25 what is the length of the blue rope

    Make a list of each color and have what they equal

    blue=three times the red, 3r

    green=five times the blue rope so, 5 (3r)

    red=is the same and the variable would just be r

    add them all together and set it equal to 508.25

    r+3r+5 (3r) = 508.28

    you solve for r which is red then plug it back into 3r
