    It is a right triangle.

The vertices of the triangle are named C, B, D.

The vertex B is the right angle (90°)

The hypotenuse (opposite to B) is the segment CD and it measures 5.

The vertex D is between the leg BD, which measures 3, and the hypotenuse.

The vertex C is between the leg BC, which measures 4, and the hypotenuse.

Then you can state all these ratios:

    sin (D) = segment BC / hypotenuese = 4 / 5

    cos (C) = segment BC / hypotenuse = 4 / 5

    cos (D) = segment BD / hypotenuese = 3 / 5

    sin (C) = segment BC / hypotenuse = 3 / 5

    tan (D) = segment BC / segment BD = 4 / 3

    tan (C) = segment BD / segment BC = 3 / 4
