Find the exact slope for 4x-1=3y+5

    The slope is the factor a in front of the x after rewriting in y = ax + b form.

    Your equation becomes:

    3y = 4x - 1 - 5

    3y = 4x - 6

    y = 4/3 x - 2

    now you can see the slope is 4/3
