We can use a rule of three.
Be the number that we can find x,
then: if 60% of the number is 42, the 100% will be x:
60% → 42
100% → x
x=100% (42) / 60%
Simplifying: x=10 (42/6) →x=10 (7) →x=70
Answer: 42 is 60% of 70
