What is the complete square of y=x^2-16x+17

    Y = x^2 - 16x + 17

    -16/2 = (-8)

    (-8) ^2 = 64

    Add 64 and subtract 64

    y = x^2 - 16x + 64 + 17 - 64

    y = (x - 8) ^2 - 47
