    If

    f (x) = 5x+40

    x=-5 f (x) = 5 * (-5) + 40=-25+40=15

    x=-9 f (x) = 5 * (-9) + 40=-45+40=-5

    x=-8 f (x) = 5 * (-8) + 40=-40+40=0

    x=7 f (x) = 5*7+40=35+40=75

    x=15 f (x) = 5*15+40=115
