How do you do 36-7p=-7 (p-5)

    First, distribute the negative seven to the p and negative five in the parentheses. it should look like 36 - 7p = - 7p + 35.

    Next, add seven p to both sides and it cancels out. 36 - 7p = - 7p + 35.

    +7p = + 7p

    Then minus thirty five on both sides. You get an inconclusive answer of 1=0
