A species of rodent has been reintroduced to a forest. About 100 of the rodent where transplanted. After 8 years the population has increased to 17000. If the population grows exponentially find the growth rate for the population growth in years.

    The exponential equation for this is given by: A = Be^t. Where A = 1700 B = 100 e = ? 1700 = 100e^ (8) e^8 = 17000/100 = 170 So e = 8âš170 = 1.9
