A math class is made up of 16 boys; the rest are girls. Sixty percent of the class is boys. How many students are in the math class?

    16/60 = x/40

    16*40 = x*60

    640=x*60

    10.6=x

    Since x represents the # of girls and you can't have. 6 of a person, you'll have 10 girls.

    10+16 = 26
