    y > x ... (-1,2) ... x = - 1 and y = 2 ... now we sub

    2 > - 1 ... 2 is greater then - 1 ... this is true

    x + y > 0 ... (-1,2) ... x = - 1 and y = 2 ... sub

    -1 + 2 > 0

    1 > 0 ... 1 is greater then 0 ... this is true

    so (-1,2) IS a solution to this system because it satisfies both inequalities
