What is the solution to the equation?

z - (-1.5) = - 2.3

    The solution is z=-3.8 I found the answer by adding the - 1.5 by - 2.3

    Well, a double negative equals a positive, so the equation would become:

    z + 1.5 = - 2.3

    So then you subtract 1.5 from both sides to get z by itself.

    z = - 3.8

    So, z = - 3.8
