    Step-by-step explanation:

    Speed V = 6 1/2 = 13/2 miles/hr

    Distance d = 7 3/4 = 31/4 miles

    Time t = ?

    V = d/t

    Cross Multiply

    Vt = d

    t = d/v

    t = 31/4 : 13/2

    t = 31/4 * 2/13

    t = 31 / (2*13)

    t = 31/26

    t = 1 5/26 hours
