4x + 3y = 8

x - 2y = 13

solve using elimination method

    4x+3y=8

    x-2y=13

    4x+3y=8

    4x-4y=13

    (4x-4x) - (3y+4y) = 5

    7y=5

    y=5/7

    Plug this back to one of the original equations!
