    Remember you can do anything to an equaiotn as long as you do it to both sides

    also, negative/positive=negative so

    0.4 (5-0.4n) = - 3.2

    divide both sides by 0.4

    5-0.4n=-8

    subtract 5 from both sides

    -0.4n=-13

    divide both sides by - 0.4

    n=32.5

    0.4 (5-0.4n) = - 3.2

    Divide by 0.4 both sides

    5-0.4n = - 3.2/0.4

    Rearrange

    -0.4n = - 3.2/0.4 - 5

    Simplify

    {-3.2/0.4 = - 32/4 [if you multiply and divide by 10] = - 8}

    -0.4n = - 8-5 {8+5=13 and since both are negative don't forget the sign}

    -0.4n=-13

    n=13/0.4 {multiply and divide by 10 }

    n=130/4 {130/2 = 65, 65/2 = 32.5 So 130/4=32.5}

    n=32.5
