Bob makes mixture of 4/7 of plant food for every gallon of water. if he uses 10 1/2 gallons of water, what is the total amount of plant food needed

    This is a ratio problem

    4/7/1 gal = x/10.5 gal

    4/7 x 10.5 = 6

    1x = 6

    so x is 6
