    x = 1

    Step-by-step explanation:

    -5x - (-7-4x) - 2 (3x-4)

    -5x + 7 - 4x - 6x + 8 First step is to factor all the numbers out so you have no parenthesis. In this case - (-7 just turns into + 7 because two negatives equal a positive. As well as - 2*3x and - 2*-4 which gives you - 6x + 8.

    -15x + 15 In this step you combine like terms.

    -15x = - 15 Next you move the whole number to the other side of the equation by subtracting it from both sides.

    x = 1 Finally you divide - 15 by - 15 to get x by its self.
