    so 342 pennies can be divided into 100 3 times with the remainder of 42 cents so that $3.42

    with nickels because they are worth 5 cents we have to see what times 5 = 100 which is 20. 62 goes into 20 3 times with the remainder of 2 and 2*5=10

    so $3.10

    dimes are worth 10 cents each so what times 10=100? 10 so 12 goes into 10 1 time with the remainder of 2 2*10=20 so $1.20

    Then we add all the money $1.20+3.10+3.42=$7.72
