Gary is making two different kinds of pastas. One calls for 3 4/5 cup of pasta. The other calls for 2 2/3 cup of pasta. How much pasta does he need?

    The easiest way to add these is to eliminate the fractions and convert these to decimals.

    3 (4/5) = 3.8 and 2 (2/3) = 2.66

    3.8 + 2.66 = 6.46 cups
