If x = 3-2√2, then find the value of x2 - 1/x2

    x^2 - (1/x^2)

    x = 3 - 2√2 - - (1)

    1/x = 1 / (3-2√2)

    = (3 + 2√2) / (3 - 2√2) (3+2√2)

    = (3 + 2√2) / 3² - (2√2) ²

    3^2 = 9 and 2√2 ² = 8

    = (3 + 2√2) / (9 - 8)

    = (3 + 2√2) - - (2)

    x - 1/x = 3 - 2√2 - (3 + 2√2)

    = 6

    = 3 - 2√2 - 3 - 2√2

    = - 4√2

    x² - 1/x² = (x + 1/x) (x - 1/x)

    = 6 * ( - 4√2)

    6 x (-4√2) = - 24√2
