Work Shown:
9n + 6 = 45
9n + 6 - 6 = 45 - 6 ... see note 1 below
9n = 39
9n/9 = 39/9 ... see note 2 below
n = 39/9
n = 4.333333 ... the 3's go on forever
n = 4.33
note 1: Subtract 6 from both sides. This is to undo the + 6
note 2: divide both sides by 9 to undo the multiplication
