-7 = - (x-5)
Step 1: Distribute the secret - 1 behind the parentheses so - 1 (x-5) is - 1x+5
Step 2:-7 = - 1x+5 Subtract 5 from both sides - -> - 12=-1x
Step 3: Divide both sides by - 1 so - 12/-1 and - 1x/-1
x=12
