Then you have the negative sign in the middle of both of the parenthesis so you have a negative in sign which u have to then add the + in the expression. You'l then add the expression which is = - 12+3-7, then subtract the 12-3 = - 9. Then the short expression is - 9-7 = - 16. (keep the bigger numbers sign). The end.
