Find the length of the hypotenuse of a triangle if one of its legs is 11 cm long and its perimeter is 132 cm.

    132 cm - 11 cm = 121 cm

    So let the hypotenuse be x and the other leg be (121 - x).

    11^2 + (121 - x) ^2 = x^2

    121 + 121^2 - 121 (2) x = 0

    x = 1/2 + 121/2 = 61 cm
