A medicine is prescribed at 1⁄2 teaspoon for every 35 pounds of body weight. If a person weighed 175 pounds, how much medicine should they take?

    We need to figure out how many 35's are "inside" a 175.

    175/35 = 5

    So there are 5 35's "inside" a 175

    So 1/2 * 5 = 2.5 teaspoons of medicine.
