There are 16 players trying out for Ms. Harris' Tennis team. There are 4 more girls than boys. How many players are girls? What would the equation be?

    Called the amount of girls is x

    we have the amount of boys x - 4

    so, we have

    x + (x - 4) = 16

    x = 10
