    a) positive correlation: the higher the daily temperature the higher the cooling cost

    b) negative correlation: interest rate will gradually reduce over time with increasing number of loan applications from and individual provided the individual met the necessary terms for the previous loans

    c) positive corellation: husbands and wives income will increase with a more stable full time job.

    d) no correlation: no correlation exist between heights of individuals and their IQ

    e) positive correlation: tall individuals statistically have larger feet when compared to shorter individuals, this translates to bigger shoe sizes for taller folks

    f) no correlation: an individual doing well in SAT maths does not say anything about how well they will perform in the verbal reasoning section. Different students have different strength and weaknesses for different subjects.

    g) negative correlation: the longer the time spent doing homework during the day, the shorter the time available for watching TV during the day for elementary school students.

    h) positive correlation: the more the fertilizers applied to a farmland the more the expected yield. provided harmful level of application is not reached.
