    Number of pigs = 20

    Number of chickens = 50

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let's assume that the number of pigs are P and the number of chickens are C.

    As we know, chickens have 2 feet and pigs have 4 feet.

    Then, according to question,

    P+C = 70 (1)

    4P + 2C = 180 (2)

    By multiplying equation (1) by 2, we will have

    2P+2C = 140 (3)

    Now, subtract equation (3) from equation (2), we will get

    2P = 40

    => P = 20

    Now, by putting the value of P in equation (1),

    20 + C = 70

    => C = 70 - 20

    = 50

    So, the number of pigs = 20

    and the number of chickens = 50
