If 2.5 pounds of a certain grain cost $1.75, how much will 5.3 pounds of the grain cost?

    1.75/2.5=.7, 5.3*7=$3.71

    Since u know 2.5 pounds cost 1.75 then find out how many 2.5s are in 5.3

    5.3/2.5 = 2.12

    then multiply by 1.75 to get 3.71
