-2 3/4 turned into an improper fraction: 4 * 2 + 3 = 11/4
11 * 2 = 22
4 * 1 = 4
= - 22/4
4 goes into 22 5 times, but we'd still have 1 left over.
5 2/4
This can be reduced once more to 5 1/2
Then we add the negative sign back in.
-5 1/2.
