For this question you simpily have to divide 14.3 by 10:

    1. Convert 14.3 into a mixed number - 14 3/10

    2. Divide 14 by 10 - 1.4

    3. Divide 3/10 by 10 - 3/100

    4. Convert 3/100 into a decimal - 0.03

    5. Add the two decimals - 0.03 + 1.4 = 1.43
