An apple costs a cents while a pear costs b cents more than an apple. Find the total cost of 10 apples

    b is the second word in the alphabet so 1 pear = 2 cents.

    12 x 2 = 24, each pear will cost 24 cent

    The apple cost 1 cent.

    So each apple will cost 10 cents, because 10 x 1 = 10.

    I don't know how to show this in dollars but I think it is 10.24 it might be wrong but I don't know.
