    x = 5 ° + π/6 - (π n) / 2 for n element Z

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Solve for x:

    tan (10 ° - 2 x) = - sqrt (3)

    Take the inverse tangent of both sides:

    10 ° - 2 x = π n - π/3 for n element Z

    Subtract 10 ° from both sides:

    -2 x = π n + (-10 ° - π/3) for n element Z

    Divide both sides by - 2:

    Answer: x = 5 ° + π/6 - (π n) / 2 for n element Z

    what you do to one side you do to the other is the golden rule. you want to add, subtract, multiply, and divide on either side of the = to get x by itself on one side and on the other side ... your answer.
