Add x to both sides
2-2x=-8
Subtract 2 from not sides
-2x=-10
Divide both sides by - 2
X=5

Move the variable to the left side and change it's sign then move constant to the right side and change its sign you will get - 3x+x = - 8-2 collect like terms then calculate the difference you will get - 2x = - 10 Divide both sides of the equations by - 2 and you will get x = 5
