Tara has an English paper to write. She wrote 1/2 of her paper yesterday and 1/3 of it today. How much of paper does she have left to write? Express your answer in simplest form.

    First, make both bases the same. The lowest common factor is 6 so 1/2 will become 3/6 and 1/3 becomes 2/6.

    The entire paper is counted as 1 in fraction which equates to 6/6. Minus out 3/6 and 2/6 for 6/6 and you'll get 1/6!
