    There are a total of 32 Green marbles

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let R represent the number of red marbles

    Let G repersent the number of green marbles

    Write down what is given

    G+R=47

    Write down what G can also be

    G=2R+5

    Substitute:

    2R+5+R=47

    Combine like terms (Algebra)

    3R+5=47

    Subtract 5 from both sides

    3R=42

    Simplify

    R=14

    Substitute the value of R in the equation for G

    G=2 (14) + 5

    Solve/Algebra

    G=28+5

    Solve/Algebra

    G=32
