    -6-2m=10

    Add 6 to both sides

    -2m=16

    Divide both sides by - 2

    m=-8

    -6-2m=10

    -2m=16

    m=-8

    (moved the - 6 to the other side first will be - 2m=10+6)

    then - 2m=16

    you switch that - 2 which it is multiple by m

    will be divided in the other side the you will have m=-16/2 which is m=-8
